What is nerd nite? 
A FREE 19+ casual gathering with speakers that present about something that they’re passionate about – from the science of Pokemon, to wine somalier secrets, to the mysteries of the great lakes, we’ve had speakers talk about anything and everything they nerd out about! As always, we’ll have exciting science demonstrations and trivia with PRIZES! 

 Speakers 1: Amelia Pizzi & Kelsey Merritt ” How to Teach Your Dog Anything: The Science of Dog Training”
Join Amelia and Kelsey, two professional dog trainers from The Dog Classroom as they discuss behaviour theory and its application in dog training. Enjoy a chat about Pavlov, Skinner, and how to apply science to training your own dog. Watch the live training demonstration with a real furry friend, and learn all about how to teach your dog anything!

Whether you’re climbing a steep ice climb, abseiling on a technical hike, building an overnight camp in the wilds of NW Ontario, hitching your boat to a dock, tying your kayak to your SUV, creating a piece of art or jewelry, etc., etc., etc… a trusty rope and the right knots come in extremely handy! Terry will introduce you through a fully ‘Nerded Out’ HANDS ON experience to learning some useful knots in this interactive presentation.
